RF-2300 is a wireless bar code reader which provides an affordable alternative to the conventional cabled scanner.

You may have any type of bar code scanner - wand, CCD, laser, undecoded or RS-232 interface, plugged into this compact, battery operated product. Then you can scan bar code labels remotely from your host computer up to 150 ft. It operates at the license free band 916 MHz and it is FCC certified.

Instead of spending a fortune to purchase a wireless scanner system, you can easily upgrade you current bar code scanner to a wireless system with the RF-2300. Simply plug an undecoded or RS232 interface scanner into the RF-2300 reader and you are ready to scan.

One Base Unit can receive data from up to 8 RF-2300 Readers and each reader can be setup with a different ID. The base unit can send data to the host computer via a keyboard wedge, USB port, RS232 port, or even RS232 serial wedge.

It is a 2-way wireless system--a confirmation will be sent back to the reader from the base unit when data is successfully received and sent to the host computer.

The RF-2300 is operated with 3 standard AA batteries. You may use any type of AA battery, Alkaline, Ni-CD or Ni-HM. This feature makes the operation so easy and flexible: when battery is low, simply replace the batteries and charge the low batteries with an inexpensive and off-the-shelf battery charger.
